I have recognized Carlos Cairo's artistic potential...I have been called here to talk about this author. I see his greater incisiveness, his greater potential, his greater modern structure projected into the future like any other authentic form of art, it is precisely in that potential gemetrized language...Cairo has this potential of modernity. It exists and it is strikingly visible. My first interpretative key is based on the interior musical brightness. This leads to the creation of rhythmic geometric forms and structures with lively compositions that produce, at the end, a new magic unity. This should be enough to praise the artist ; it is a positive element to produce, through well defined spacial structures, this joy for the eyes or this defeat for the eyes, this anxiety for the eyes which is produced by art when the anxiety is purifying, when the anxiety is a passage. It is a transition and a passage to reach joy. Cairo defines this with absolute consciousness. We, thus, have a poetically considered painting. However, my second interpretative key is based on the journey that Cairo will undertake. When an artist invites you to a journey, he is a great artist. It is obvious. Actually, it is even obvious how Cairo produces this invitation. Each of his works has a door which is solemnly opened, indeed it is appealing and tempting. It is almost a geometric flower which then produces this modern state of anxiety which is typical of the modern man. |
