He is a figurative painter. However, he always reinvents his paintings, which are almost at the limit of abstraction. He considers the essence of the things he represents. He does not adapt himself to the suggestion that can be given by the small details, when things are observed in their completeness and in the suggestion that that specific moment, deeply experienced, produces. In Carlos Cairo's last works we can identify new symbologies produced by reworked images. For this artist colour is always the main element. He has an essential form and a unique, personal and well defined language.
